About Video

Thousands of people have heard Kris “Tanto” Paronto speak about his experiences in Benghazi on September 11, 2012. That event was the subject of the book and later depicted in the movie 13 HOURS. But before he was a security contractor, Tanto was a US Army Ranger from 2nd Battalion 75th Ranger Regiment. Rangers are trained to lead by being pushed to their physical and mental limits so that they can perform against impossible odds in punishing situations. In Make Ready with Kris “Tanto” Paronto: The Ranger Way, Tanto shares stories from his training experiences that played a role in his team’s heroic response in Benghazi. This video is a companion to the book titled, The Ranger Way: Living the Code On and Off the Battlefield, written by Tanto.

Bonus Footage: Video also includes a look at upcoming firearms training with Tanto.
Kris reviews how to draw a handgun as well as carbine/rifle presentation.

As someone who had the chance to meet Kris “Tanto” Paronto and hear him speak, I must say he is very inspirational. He’s open, he’s honest, and he wants to help. Needless to say, when I found out he was writing his book, “The Ranger Way,” I immediately preordered. When I found out that Panteao was doing a DVD accompaniment, I had to have it!

In this video, Kris opens up about his time in the military and what made him the hero we know him as today. He discusses selflessness, bravery, perseverance, accountability, and confidence as only Tanto can. He discusses giving and getting help, something that’s incredibly eye opening.

Kris provides a unique standpoint, with a certain honesty, a small amount of religion, and all of the personality traits that make Tanto the man we all wish we could be. A hero of Benghazi or not, Kris Paronto is someone who we would all be lucky to learn from.

I have had the opportunity to attend two classes that were taught by Kris Paronto and Dave (Boon) Benton. I have read Kris’s book “The Ranger Way: Living the Code On and Off the Battlefield” and I was eager to have this video as well. The book details a lot of the story of Kris Paronto’s time in the Army as a Ranger and also as a private security contractor. It is still great, however to hear Kris tell these stories on the video himself. He comes across as someone who has faced a lot of challenges in his life and who has worked hard to overcome them. If you like documentaries that feature Real-Life American Heroes, then this video from Panteao is a solid choice and should be in your home video library!
