Covers a lot of ground and very educational. As a novice with the shotgun, I was unaware of the great versatility it can have and it’s capabilities out to 100 yards or more. The video covered shotgun and ammo selection, patterning, manual of arms and tactics in a logical and easy to follow format. I had always considered the shotgun an up close tool, after this video and some time on the range, the shotgun has replaced my carbine as the tool of choice for a number of situations.

The instruction is straight to the point and very detailed. There’s good explanation of why certain techniques are preferable or disadvantageous in tactical context. Presentation of the techniques and the camerawork capturing the techniques is excellent. Shotgun manipulation is presented slowly and deliberately from couple different angles, plus there are good close-ups, so you can really see small nuances of operating the shotgun platform efficiently. The instruction is very straightforward and practical – no unnecessary showmanship, yet still frank approach and some sense of humor. Finally – phenomenal, very motivational chapter on combat mindset.
In my opinion it’s the best shotgun training available on Panteao right now and with the thorough presentation of the techniques, one of the best crafted training videos.

This is a Great Training Video! Bill Jeans has decades of experience behind a shotgun and he shows that as an instructor. He covers all of the pertinent material – Patterning, Different Types of Reloads, and gives a good overview of Shotgun types and Gear. There are a LOT of training videos for handgun and even more for AR rifles out there. This is only one of two shotgun training videos that I am aware of (the other is Wes Dos – Close Quarters Shotgun – also by Panteao productions), which makes this video even more valuable to me. Make sure you snatch this up and learn from it!

I would give the video 5 stars but it is missing a chapter. In Chapter 12 Bill says “I talked a little about port loading…” Not in this series of videos he doesn’t.
Otherwise I think his presentation is one of the best videos Panteao has on the shotgun. Fill in the missing blank and I would highly recommend this video to anyone.
