About Video

Responding to an active shooter scenario up till recently has been looked upon as only something law enforcement personnel would do. But often the first responder to an active shooter is the civilian that happened to be at the right place at the right time. Being able to respond sooner to an active shooter can save lives. In this video Paul Howe will prepare you for that.

Paul is a high-risk training instructor that served 20 years in the US Army, ten of those in Special Operations. He served as a Tactical Team Leader and Senior Instructor while assigned to Army Special Operations. During his tour in special operations he was involved in several combat actions. One of the most notable was the battle of Mogadishu that was later portrayed in the motion picture Black Hawk Down.

In this video, Paul takes you step-by-step through the mindset of an active shooter situation. He reviews gear you need like bags, holsters, and lights. The best choices for a weapon platform and medical supplies. Then Paul takes you through exterior contact, room CQB, hallways, hallway intersections, linking up with others, shooting through glass, and more. An active shooter event is a fact of life. Now you can be prepared.

Great dvd. It is very well thought out. The information can be used for more than just an active shooter. I especially like the medic portion of the dvd. Run time is 1 hour 18 minutes.

  2. Benbunkeresq

The video is an excellent primer for Paul’s class on this subject. I highly recommend the video, but you will gain more from taking the class from Paul. It is excellent information and Paul is a fantastic instructor.

This is a great DVD to watch for CHL holders who are looking to improve on their skills. Lot’s of real world information to really help improve your safety if you’re caught in a worst case scenario.

  4. Michael MacCubbin

Great video. Mr. Howe does a great job in discussing the importance of situational awareness during these incidents as well as what to expect Law Enforcement’s response to be. Good run down on every day carry gear.

  5. Nick_spadaro

This is the best concealed carry video on here, regardless of the focus on active shooters. The bag set up section was worth the price of admission alone. Paul knows his stuff and his mustache in this video is epic

Having read Paul’s book on Combat Leadership, this entire series of shooting videos he’s done are awesome for refreshers.

  7. David

Great video. This takes up where basic pistol skills stop. This covers what you need to do to be responsible, how to respond, basic outdoor and indoor tactics, and basic medical. I think this is a good video for generic situations and should not be thought of as “just” an active shooter video.

  8. Stephen Brown

This is a great video. Worth owning in the hard copy. Helpful for civilians wanting to know how to take care of themselves and others. Also helpful for those wanting to influence the response at their own place of employment or worship. Universally applicable information.

We all hope to be able to help in a situation like an active shooter, and this video gives you the knowledge and skills required if you want to be prepared for the worst.

  10. Nick Dubuque

Another awesome video covering a lot of important subjects.

A Great video that does an Excellent job of covering the topic of Active Shooters. The first part of the video gives a great overview of Gear – Holsters, Bags, Medical Supplies, and Flashlights. The video then changes focus to CQB and Room Clearing principles. There is a lot of Great material here to absorb and practice. This video is one of ten videos offered by Panteao Productions that features Paul Howe and I would highly recommend adding all of them to your Video Library.
