This is a good video. Massad shares some very good information regarding multiple topics such as securing the outside of your home, how to give yourself the strategic advantage inside the home, a bit on firearm differences, as well as his recommendations on what equipment to have readily available in preparation of defending your home. It would have been nice to see more demonstrations to help visualize some of his concepts. It would have also been nice to hear about some experiences he may have had over the years to help reinforce some of his recommendations. Nonetheless, I know that Massad is well respected in the personal defense community so I definitely took away as much as I could.

Make Ready with Massad Ayoob: Home Defense is one of three videos offered by Panteao Productions (the other two are Masaad Ayoob – Lethal Force FAQ and Masaad Ayoob – Concealed Carry). In this video Masaad Ayoob talks about different Home Defense and Security topics – Your Home’s Security Perimeter, Safe Rooms and introduces the concept of the Ensconced Defender (with a nice reference to the Battle of the Alamo). He also briefly covers a couple of legal questions pertaining to the use of Lethal Force in the Home. This is a Great video and will make a fine addition to your Video Library.
